Sumer Sorensen-Bain

Director of Business Development

Sumer Sorensen-Bain has over 13 years of experience in helping manufacturing companies grow and prosper. Before joining CAMT, Sumer served as the operations manager at Accellent Technologies where she managed all operations associates across three shifts and an array of functions, and led a complete facility re-design.  With CAMT, she has worked with a variety of manufacturing industries to implement innovative improvement solutions such as Lean manufacturing, quality systems, information technology, and growth strategies. Additionally, Sumer has helped clients locate and acquire federal and state grants with a high level of success.

Sumer participates in advisory groups to local manufacturing task forces, economic development councils, community colleges, workforce centers, and the former Department of Labor Wired Solutions Team. As the CAMT Director of Business Development, Sumer leads CAMT regional directors to help clients craft and implement comprehensive training plans to introduce and maintain continuous improvement efforts, in addition to ensuring her clients are aware and taking advantage of business opportunities available.
