NASA Technical Advisor

A NASA-funded Technical Advisor has been placed by NASA to assist CAMT in helping Colorado companies identify NASA technologies, facilitate connections, and accelerate technology transfer and commercialization of a new generation of products based on space-related innovations. This placement is part of a Space Act Agreement between CAMT and NASA signed in December 2010 designed to strengthen Colorado’s clean energy and aerospace manufacturing industries, and contribute to state-wide regional economic development and growth.

The activities of the NASA Technical Advisor are a part of the state-wide ACE Regional Innovation Cluster initiative led by CAMT in collaboration with government, research, and industry partners to promote an innovation economy, improved global competitiveness and job growth in the aerospace and clean energy industries. CAMT has begun technology matching discussions with 30 Colorado companies who could benefit from incorporating NASA developed technologies available for licensing and/or forging innovative partnerships with the agency.

Technology matching efforts complement a suite of CAMT  programs designed to accelerate product development of new technologies include the ACE (Aerospace and Clean Energy) Manufacturing and Innovation Park, Supplier Scouting, the development of an Industry Asset Map, the Manufacturing Center of Excellence, and a Government Programs and Grants Office, as well as technology acceleration workshops.
